The right side of me

On the right side of my pillow she sleeps,

Eyes wide shut,

Legs & arms wrapped tightly around me

I feel her breathing,

I feel her heart holding on to me

I feel her grip grow tighter,

When it seem I have to leave.

On the right side of my pillow she sleeps,

Twitching and whispering unknown words to me,

I smile as I watch her lips spread in her sleep,

She smiles like an angel,

She smiles at me

And as my eyes fall short and sleep draws in,

I cling on the right side of my pillow,

Holding the best part of me

Society’s My Partner In Crime.

I dislike the hatred within you, the coldness, the pain, the drugs that thin you. Your justice is malice, spite in disguise, your freedom merely violence, it’s your harmful protection which I despise. I’ve grown up loving you, yet I fear I was forced, conditioned by your lies, in which your control is sourced. I do nothing but give, without a regret, and a beating of the soul, is the thanks that I get? You know I’m not leaving, you made certain I was yours, but I can never be like you, so I’ll stay here on these floors. Cruelty is your name, but you call yourself hope, I’m not the first to see through you, I don’t see how you cope. I long to see you fall, and someday you will, I doubt I’ll play a part, but I’m certain I’ll get my fill. Until that day comes, I’ll continue to be your slave, a tool of your hatred, but like you I won’t behave. I know what you are, I can see you clear, but until the day you’re gone, I’ll always keep you near.

XII: Thantotheosis
I walk on air,
For I can; for I dare
I look down towering high
For my ego; for the glare
Little corridors and elevators are just a means,
To my destination; to an end
I walk through crowds or sit alone,
I quiver not; I neither shiver nor care
The only nausea is for phobia itself
I have spoken to many; I have spoken over fear
I have subdued divinity with my hands
By noetic intellect; by an empiricist flare
I stand before you, as one who conquered it all.
By sensory perception, I have conquered fear.

Beautiful Avatar on my timeline.

The succulence of your figurine caught my eye.

With curving angles perplexing beyond my mind.

I’ll hit follow, I’ll say hi

Out of Africa: Reshaping the cultural experience

For those who don’t know; yes we can!

Yes! We toiled and built this very soil with our own hands

Yes! Our first cultural experience was indifference and war

Yes! We sailed in chains, but that history is no more!

We stand physically and psychologically liberated on this soil,

Way beyond the racial segregation and the structural discrimination they employ

Yes! History casted us as a starving underdeveloped civilization

But we have and we will exert change as one people and one nation

We have crossed boundaries and climbed the boulders put in place

Yes! They said we couldn’t make it but alas they see our face

We will beat our Bata and talking drums

We will walk with one hope, one heart, and one song

Yes! We are a coat of many colors in a dark shade,

Yet you spray and tan to be like we were naturally made

No longer will we be victims of history’s woe

Standing at akimbo as it repeats the flow.

My people, we must also serve each other as we will like to be

No matter the culture, we are one people chasing the African Dream

Yes! Victory will be our emblem; victory will be our legacy

We will ascend all skies, and govern every sea

Out of Africa, we will reshape the cultural experience

We will make our success the evidence.

So, yes we can!

For we fought, we conquered and we raised one flag!
